2 Temple Christmas Party

Guests were warmly welcomed at 2 Temple Place last week for their Partners Dinner evening. They were greeted on arrival by a suited and booted officer and led towards the spectacular venue which was lit from the outside with a warm glow.

Crazy cows were on hand with a glass of champagne for the guests and welcomed them into the reception room. The guests were more than impressed with the venue and they hadn’t even seen the main dining room yet!! A historic guest speaker wondered around the reception room revealing timeless information on the background of this momentous venue. Guests enjoyed the flowing champagne and nibbles which consisted of rosemary and stilton shortbread, vegetable crisps and Somerset cheddar cheese straws. Time flew and before we knew it guests were being called to dinner.

Guests were led back into the hallway and the grand doors opened to reveal a majestic staircase, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and a homely fireplace. As they made their way up the stairs guests identified the wood carved statues that the historian had spoken about.

The great hall spoke for itself, the ornate chandeliers, the high ceilings, the intricate interior and hand carved walls. The room was amazing. It did not need much decoration to make this space stand out. However, the tables flourished with warm colours from the flower posy pad arrangements that were harmonious with the red up lights in the room. Flowers were supplied by Lavender Green Flowers.

A short welcome speech was given and the atmosphere was great. Starters were devoured, guests had the choice of a delicious salmon plate – hot smoked salmon with horseradish cream, sloe gin cured salmon tartare salmon & dill gravlax with a beetroot sorbet. The other option was a ham hock and pea soup with a truffle dressing drizzle. The vegetarian option was grilled carpaccio of med vegetables with feta crumble and basil oil drizzle. All three were both just as popular with the guests, a real winner.

The wine was flowing and the mains were brought out. Guests could either choose from a rump of lamb and truffled shoulder with rosemary winter squash puree, celeriac gratin, orchard braised red cabbage and green beans. The presentation of the food was fantastic! Another option was roasted pollock braised fennel and crisp with king Edward mash, carrot ribbons & scattered sea herbs to finish. The vegetarian option was spinach & ricotta ravioli with roasted pumpkin crunchy seeds & basil oil flourish topped with wild rocket. The mains were also a success and everyone was happy! Catering was provided by Seasoned.

An award ceremony took place whilst guests ate their desserts. They had the choice of a delicious Lemon tart or mulled wine poached pear & Christmas pudding ice cream. Yet again another tasty dish!

Guests were brought into the library, another grand room. Where they could sip away at their after-dinner digestifs whilst socialising with colleagues and their partners. An array of spirits and mixers were provided before the night came to an end and the guests had to head home. Everyone was cheerful, full and merry.

Another successful event for crazy cow with yet again great feedback.
